Italian police arrested the head of the mafia clan

Italian authorities managed to arrest one of the most dangerous bosses of the Neapolitan mafia Comorra, Mariano Riccio, who was on the list of "100 most dangerous criminals in the country on the wanted list."

Riccio was detained in his house during one of the raids of the Naples Carabinieri. In addition to the criminal, his wife and little daughter were also in the building. The arrest and arrest of the offender were recorded by the police on camera.

It was very difficult to catch Riccio. The mafia sources reported to him about the raid, so Mariano turned to the old, but effective system of communication with his relatives and intermediaries. Afraid that the police might follow him, Riccio stopped using mobile phone, and also tried to minimize trips to Naples. Moreover, Mariano installed many cameras around the perimeter of his house, where he lived with his wife, who, as it turned out, was the daughter of a mafioso, who occupies a high level in the criminal structure of the region.

However, the carabinieri still managed to go on the trail of the head of Comorr and get into his house. Riccio peacefully surrendered to the police, cursing the unreliable video surveillance system.

Mariano - the youngest representative of the mafia leaders: He is only 23 years old, and the police are already predicting him 16 years in prison for drug trafficking. According to some sources, for more than two years, Riccio has been the leader of the Amato-Pagato clan, which is part of the Comorra Mafia, which controls a large part of southern Italy.

However, there is evidence that the power of Comorra extends up to the Florence region (Firenze).

In addition to Riccio, about thirty members of the Naples Mafia were in the hands of the Italian authorities. They were all detained in the capital, and soon they will be charged with fraud and extortion. The arrested mafiosi are part of the clan Fuorigrotta.

It is worth noting that today an armed group of criminals attacked a convoy in front of the courthouse in the small town of Gallarte, hoping to free the Mafia leader Ndraghetta Domenico Cutri, whom the carabinieri brought for interrogation.

The police were attacked by four unknown people, but as it was later established, among them were two brothers of the head of the Calabrian mafia, who attacked the convoy. The attackers opened fire, resulting in a brother of the arrested boss, Antonio Cutri, was mortally wounded. Further, everything happened as in the best pictures of the criminal genre: picking up a wounded comrade, the criminals hid from the chase.

However, they did not forget to call on the mother’s house of the dying young man, who died in her arms in the ambulance department.

Local carabinieri tried to detain the escaped Coutri and his accomplices, but the “interception” operation failed. The Interior Minister described the escape of the Mafia boss as a “very serious omission,” since the police was known in advance about a possible attack on the convoy.

However, such associations can come to mind not only to sard patriots or meticulous geographers, but also to all those who have at least once been able to see the island from the porthole of a liner landing at one of the airports.
